My Role: Story Concept Pre production Storytelling Creative Direction 3D Animation
WestJet needed a visually striking way to unveil the new livery and interior design of their 787 Dreamliner—well before the aircraft itself was available. The challenge was to present these updates in a compelling, immersive way to over a thousand employees and media attendees during their Annual General Meeting. I led the creative direction, story and Motion Design, as well as being the lead contact on-site for creative at the event.

The Project
Working with Freeman Audio Visual, we transformed WestJet’s Calgary hangar into a projection-mapped showcase. We developed high-resolution 3D animations that revealed both the new cabin experience, Aurora lighting and the exterior paint scheme. The hangar's scale and layout required custom blackout treatments to deliver clean, vivid visuals across the massive sliding doors. As the story unfolds we witness the reveal of details progressing from the new logo set into the interior to the final grand reveal of the new livery as we hear the pilots guide the plane into land over the mountains of B.C on to Calgary runway. As the doors slide open the plane pulls up outside.
The Results
The reveal was a success, drawing strong reactions from the live audience and thousands more via Facebook livestream. The projection mapping brought WestJet’s design story to life in a way that was both emotional and technically impressive—leaving a lasting impression and setting a new bar for internal brand launches.
