In 2018, Go2 Productions was honored to be selected as one of ten finalists for iMapp Bucharest, a prestigious international projection mapping competition that illuminates the colossal façade of Romania's Palace of the Parliament. The 2018 theme, "Blue. Yellow. Red. A Century of Modern Romania," challenged participants to artistically interpret Romania's centennial celebration.
The Project
Our team developed "Tapestry Lumiere," a vibrant, abstract spectacle inspired by Romanian patterns, colors, history, architecture, and heritage. The animation wove individual strands representing the diverse lives of Romanian people, intertwining to symbolize unity and harmony. Utilizing 64 projectors, we transformed the 23,000-square-meter façade into a dynamic canvas of light and movement.
The Results
The event attracted over 65,000 spectators, who experienced the mesmerizing display alongside performances by local and international artists. Showcasing "Tapestry Lumiere" at such a significant venue allowed us to honor Romania's rich cultural tapestry and contribute to a shared celebration of its centennial.
